Last Tuesday (the 16th of April) and Wednesday (the 17th of April), I had the opportunity to participate in the International Research Forum on Monetary Policy at the Federal Reserve Board. The conference featured a lot of interesting papers on a variety of topical issues.
The program of the Forum can be found here.
On the first day, I highlight two keynote speeches: one by Vice-Chairman P. Jefferson (Federal Reserve Board) and the other one by Mark Gertler (NYU). On the second day, there was a keynote speech by Isabel Schnabel (ECB) and an interesting panel with O. Blanchard (PIIE), J. Bullard (Purdue University), and Silvana Tenreyro (LSE).
I discussed a paper by X. Bai (Tsinghua University), J. Fernández-Villaverde (University of Pennsylvania), Y. Li (University of International Business and Economics), and F. Zanetti (University of Oxford) on “The Causal Effects of Global Supply Chain Disruptions on Macroeconomic Outcomes: Evidence and Theory”.
My discussion is at 3h.18min on the first day and my slides are here.
